Alpina is committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors. Personal information is therefore treated with the utmost care. Alpina.nl strictly adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Breach Notification Act.

Registration data

You can visit and use Alpina.nl without your data being stored and processed by us. You will be asked to enter personal data when you:

  • submit an application for a quotation;

The data will be stored and provided to the relevant third party, such as the insurance company, the proxy company, the claim settlement company, personal injury specialists, damage repairers or the loss adjuster. Your data will never be made available to parties other than those mentioned here.

What do we process your data for?

- To act as adviser and intermediary and administrator of the financial products entered into by you;
- To review and/or accept and/or handle an application and to execute an insurance contract or financial service;

Security measures

To ensure your privacy, we have implemented security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorised access to personal data. These measures include:

  • Our website is protected by a certificate and can only be accessed via a secure SSL connection;
  • We have a firewall on our website that allows us to actively manage connections via whitelisting and blacklisting;
  • All our employees receive periodic privacy awareness training;
  • All management work can only be carried out from our office or via a secure VPN connection;
  • We have automated processes in place to anonymise privacy data if we no longer have a basis for storing and using this data.

To ensure the security of the physical documents, file cabinets are locked and the premises are secured with an alarm system.

Data retention period

We keep your data for a maximum of five years after the cancellation date of an insurance policy.

Your rights

As a customer, you have a number of rights when it comes to privacy. After all, it is your data. You have:

  • the right to inspect your data: if you wish to inspect your personal data, please contact us by e-mail. Alpina.nl will send you an overview of your data as registered with us by e-mail. In this case, you will receive the personal data from us as clearly as possible;

Alpina.nl maintains general visitor statistics in order to best design the website according to user needs and to develop any new services or offers.
